Dr. Edgardo Zavala is the medical director and founder of Ciao Bella Cosmetic Surgery & Vein Clinic in Chandler, Arizona. With more than four decades of medical experience spanning internal medicine, cardiology, vascular medicine, cosmetic surgery, and vein care, Dr. Zavala brings a uniquely comprehensive approach to patient safety and aesthetic outcomes.
After earning his medical degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Dr. Zavala completed advanced training in general surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology at the prestigious National Institute of Cardiology in Mexico City. Following his move to the United States, he completed a second internal medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he later served as chief resident and eventually became chief of cardiology.
Dr. Zavala is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has held certifications with the American Board of Vascular Medicine, the American Board of Echocardiography, and the American Board of Phlebology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and has completed a dedicated cosmetic surgery fellowship with extensive training in liposuction, laser-assisted body contouring, vein treatments, and cosmetic procedures.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Zavala has served as a clinical associate professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, an instructor at Mayo Medical School, and a contributor to numerous peer-reviewed medical publications. His research has been published in respected journals, including the American Heart Journal, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, and the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery.
